Brooklyn Heights

New York City’s original suburb, Brooklyn Heights was the first neighborhood to receive an official designation from the Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1966.

Community. Its leafy streets and charming historic homes recall an era that bustled with promise and ingenuity. That legacy lives on to this day in a community that is tightly knit and actively involved in efforts to preserve the quality of life in this quiet enclave.

Arts & Theater. Brooklyn Heights is the charming home to several arts and history showcase venues, including the Brooklyn Historical Society, the Brooklyn Heights Cinema, and the famous Bargemusic, nestled just under the Brooklyn Bridge and reaching the ears of many all over the borough.

Schools. Brooklyn Heights hosts several public and private schools alike, serving all grades from pre-K to 12th grade, and even a full-service private four-year college, as well.

Promenade. In addition to enjoying spectacular views of timeless New York land- marks such as the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge, residents of Brooklyn Heights also benefit from sweeping vistas of New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline.
