Brownstone Brooklyn Market Report: 4Q17

Our Brownstone Brooklyn Market Report for the 4th Quarter 2017 has been released! With the addition of Park Slope in this iteration of our report, we are now covering seven of Brooklyn’s most in-demand Brownstone neighborhoods. Welcome, Park Slope!

We’d like to note that Brennan’s Market Reports are a major resource for home sellers and home buyers, as we are presently the only real estate brokerage offering a neighborhood-by-neighborhood analysis of townhouse and condominium sales activity in Brownstone Brooklyn. We do not use a third party to aggregate our data, which is a testament to our superior knowledge of three things: Real Estate, Marketing, and Brooklyn.

With that said, we have exciting news: Brownstone Brooklyn is continuing to hold steady and show strong transactional activity in the marketplace! Despite some dips in condominium pricing in select markets, we still continue to see an upward trend in average sales prices over the year for townhouses in most of the Brownstone Brooklyn neighborhoods noted in the report. Here are a few key takeaways:

  1. 1. A 7.38% increase in the average sales price of townhouses market wide from last year.
  2. 2. A 47.91% increase in the average sales price of townhouses in Brooklyn Heights from last quarter.
  3. 3. An 11.66% increase in the average price per square foot for townhouses in Park Slope from last year.
